Restless Hearts Author Grant

Monthly • 2 recipients • 50% off editing or 40% off genre packages

The Restless Hearts Author Grant supports storytellers with strong manuscripts and demonstrated financial need. Each month, two authors receive a grant covering:

• 50% off any à la carte editing tier

• OR 40% off any genre launch package

Recipients also receive priority scheduling and full access to our standard editorial process.

Ideal for: Debut authors, marginalized voices, authors recovering from financial hardship, or anyone with a powerful story who needs financial support.

Apply: Submit a short application including your pitch, first 5 pages, and a brief note about your financial need.

New Voices Scholarship

Quarterly • 1 recipient • 40% off genre packages or 25% off New Author Package

The New Voices Scholarship champions debut authors launching their first book or pen name. Once per quarter, one author receives:

• 40% off any genre launch package

• OR 25% off the New Author Launch Package

• A 30‑minute story consultation

• A personalized publishing roadmap

Ideal for: First‑time authors, new pen names, or writers preparing to launch their first series.

Apply: Submit your pitch, first 5 pages, and a short explanation of your goals.

Discounted Access Programs

First Look Access Program

Monthly • 5 discounted spots • First Look Hook at $99

The First Look Access Program offers five discounted First Look Hook spots each month. This gives budget‑conscious authors a low‑risk way to work with a professional editor.

You’ll receive:

• A polished first 10,000 words

• A refined blurb

• A personalized revision plan

Price: $99 (normally $149)

No application required — first come, first served.

Micro‑Grant Fund

Rolling • Small grants of $100–$300

The Micro‑Grant Fund provides small, fast‑approval grants to help authors cover part of their editing or formatting costs.

• $100–$300 off any à la carte editing tier

• 48‑hour approval window

• No income verification required

Ideal for: Authors between paychecks, recovering from unexpected expenses, or needing a small boost to finish a project.

 

Mentorship Call Add‑On

Reduced‑rate story or publishing strategy calls

A 45‑minute mentorship call offered at a reduced rate for qualifying authors.

You’ll receive:

• Story structure guidance

• Publishing strategy support

• A personalized next‑steps roadmap

Price: $49 (normally $149)

Ideal for: Authors who can’t afford a full edit yet, or those needing clarity before revising or querying.

 

Community Support Initiatives

Pay‑What‑You‑Can First Look Day

Quarterly • 10 PWYC spots

Once per quarter, Restless Hearts opens 10 First Look Hook spots where authors can pay any amount between $25–$149.

You’ll receive:

• Full polish of your first 10,000 words

• Blurb optimization

• Personalized revision plan

Ideal for: Authors in financial hardship or those wanting to test our editing style.

Community Nomination System

Monthly • 1 nominated author receives support

Readers, critique partners, or fellow authors can nominate someone they believe deserves support.

Each month, one nominated author receives:

• A free First Look Hook

• OR 50% off any à la carte edit

Ideal for: Authors who uplift their community, help others, or may not ask for help themselves.

Applications for grants and scholarships require:

• Name & pen name

• Email

• Genre

• Word count

• Short pitch (150 words)

• Why this story matters (150 words)

• Optional financial need statement

• First 5 pages (sent separately via email to restlessheartspublishing@gmail.com)

• Preferred service

Programs like First Look Access, PWYC Day, and Mentorship Calls do not require applications.
